Racecourse Road, Flemington

This is my place now, my local shopping strip, where I catch the tram and train to the city. Life is a cacophany of sound and colour. I feel very connected to my place now. I share my place with people from many countries especially people who have sought refuge from war in their own countries. I often wonder how they make sense of this place and how they re-establish a new place for themselves after being made placeless at least temporarily.
